Introduction

The SCView platform offers comprehensive solutions for managing student and parent contact information, providing seamless integration with ProgressBook to ensure accurate and up-to-date contact databases.


A. Problem Statement

Educational institutions often struggle with maintaining current student and parent contact information across multiple systems. Manual data entry, incomplete records, and fragmented communication channels can lead to inefficient outreach and potential communication gaps.


B. Solution

Student contacts are used within form campaigns to be able to send forms to parents and/or students. 

When a student is registered through SCView, their contact information (and their parents' information) is automatically added to the contacts for the district.


For students that are already registered and do not need to be registered for SCView, we have an import process to pull these contacts in. You must have a valid ProgressBook connection to be able to import student contacts. Contact Support if you are not sure whether you have a valid connection.



To sync student contacts:

  1. Go to Admin > Site Settings
  2. On the General tab, you will see a ProgressBook section.
  3. Type in the 4-digit year for which you wish to sync contacts. If you do not enter a year, contacts will sync for the current calendar year.
  4. Click the Sync Contacts button

Once the button is pressed, the task will begin to sync contacts for the entered year. You will not be able to run another contact sync until the current process has completed.
