Introduction
We are pleased to announce an enhancement to the SCView Hiring portal: the new Save as Draft feature. This functionality allows clients to conveniently save incomplete job postings as drafts, enabling them to finalize and publish at a later time. This feature is designed to enhance flexibility and efficiency in managing recruitment processes. Additionally, users can now easily filter and sort between draft and completed job listings directly on the Jobs page. This improvement ensures a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for all our clients.
A. Problem statement
Previously, the SCView Hiring portal did not offer a mechanism for saving unfinished job postings, requiring clients to complete postings in one session. This limitation placed an unnecessary burden on users, reducing flexibility and potentially compromising the quality and accuracy of job listings due to rushed entries.
B. Solution
To address this, we introduced a Save as Draft feature on the SCView Hiring portal. This enhancement allows clients to save their incomplete job postings and return to them at their convenience. The feature is complemented by the ability to filter and sort job listings as drafts or complete entries on the Jobs page, significantly improving the user experience by adding flexibility and streamlining the job posting process.
Step 1:
Initiate the creation of a new job application using our streamlined form interface.

Step 2:
When saving as Draft, the system provides maximum flexibility:
- Minimum Requirement: Only Title field is mandatory
- Optional Fields: All other fields can be left empty, including:
- Location
- Posted Date (can be added without Expiration Date)
- Expiration Date
- Form Group ID
- Description

You will notice three buttons at the bottom of the form:
- Confirm: Submit the job (requires full validation)
- Save as Draft: Save with minimal validation
- Cancel: Discard changes
Click the Save as Draft button to save your job posting with whatever information you have entered. The system will:
- Accept draft with Title only
- Accept draft with Title + Posted Date (no Expiration Date required)
- Accept draft with Title + Both Dates
- Allow editing and re-saving without full validation
In the job list, you can easily distinguish between drafts and posted jobs. Jobs saved as drafts will be marked with a checkmark in the Draft column, whereas posted jobs will not feature a check mark.

Step 3:
To efficiently manage your job postings, use the filter functionality in the Draft column:
- Click on the filter icon in the Draft column
- Select True to display only drafts
- Select False to display only published jobs
- Clear filter to view all jobs

Step 4: Edit Existing Drafts
Access your saved drafts from the job list:
- Click on any draft job to open the Edit Job page
- Modify fields as needed (same flexible validation applies)
- Save as Draft again or Submit when ready with all required fields
C. Best Practices
To maximize efficiency and accuracy in the recruitment process using the SCView Hiring portal, we recommend the following best practices:
1. Utilize drafts: Leverage the Save as Draft functionality to temporarily save incomplete job postings. This allows for careful consideration and refinement of the job details, enhancing the quality of your postings.
2. Clear identification: Regularly review your job listing dashboard, where drafts are clearly marked with a checkmark in the Draft column. This visual cue ensures easy differentiation between draft and active job postings, helping maintain organization.
3. Effective filtering: Implement the filtering options available in the Draft column by selecting True to view only drafts, or False to view posted jobs. This sorting feature streamlines the management of job postings, allowing for quicker navigation and action on items that require attention.
4. Validation Awareness: Remember that different validation rules apply:
- Drafts: Only Title required
- Submission: Title, Posted Date, Expiration Date, and Form Group ID required
5. Edit Without Constraints: When editing drafts, maintain the same flexibility as initial creation - no need to complete all fields until ready to publish.
Adhering to these practices will ensure a more organized and effective job posting process, ultimately leading to better recruitment outcomes.
