Introduction

The eSigning module within SCView offers the flexibility to manage and alter existing eSign requests, allowing users to add, modify or delete signers and signature fields as needed. This capability can be critical to account for changes or updates required prior to the completion of signatures on documents.

A. Problem Statement

Users may sometimes need to amend an existing eSign request, such as to add new signers, update signature fields, or modify the request's subject or comments. This process might be unfamiliar to or appear complex for some users

B. Solution

The eSigning module provides a simple and structured process to edit an existing eSign request. Users can navigate to the relevant areas within the module to add or modify signers, edit signature fields, or update other request parameters such as the subject, comments, or additional recipients.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Edit an Existing Request:

1. In the eSigning Dashboard, navigate to the “Requested” table to view ongoing eSign requests.

2. Click on the pencil icon, or alternatively, use the right-click context menu, to edit the existing request.

3. You will now see the 'What/Who' breadcrumb. Here, you can add new signers if required by clicking on 'Add Signer'.

Note: That if a signer already exists, you cannot add the same signer again.

4. Once you have finished adding or modifying signers, click on the 'Next' button.

5. You will then be directed to the 'Where to Sign' breadcrumb. Here, you can view the existing signature fields. You have the option to add new fields orr modify or delete existing fields as required.
6. Again, click on the 'Next' button once you have made the necessary changes.

7. You will now arrive at the 'Request Signatures' breadcrumb. Here, you can modify the subject and comments, or add additional recipients as needed.

8. Once you have made all the necessary changes, click on the 'Send Request' button.

9. You will be redirected back to the “Requested” table in the Dashboard. Your updated request will now be visible here.
