Introduction
Now IPDP Admin users will have similar capabilities to SCAdmin users. Previously, the ability to delete multi-user activity was exclusively held by SCAdmins, a feature carefully monitored and refined over recent months through active tracking and consistent dialogue with our Support team. It has become apparent that equipping IPDP Admins with similar privileges would substantially increase efficiency and user autonomy.
A. Problem Statement
Currently, the ability to delete multi-user activities is restricted solely to SCAdmin users. Once multi-user activities are saved, they are inserted into individual plans. Although SCAdmins can conveniently delete these entries via a context menu that appears upon right-clicking, this privilege does not extend to IPDP Admins. This limitation restricts IPDP Admins' ability to manage and moderate activities efficiently on an individual basis, without impacting group activities or requiring overarching administrative intervention.
B. Solution
The proposed solution involves expanding the deletion capabilities currently available to SCAdmins to also include IPDP Admins. By modifying the system's permissions, IPDP Admins will be able to access the same context menu that SCAdmins use, allowing for the deletion of individual multi-user activities directly from individual plans. This enhancement will enable IPDP Admins to manage activities more autonomously and efficiently, ensuring quicker resolution of issues and adjustments within their respective domains, without altering grouped or unrelated user activities. This change will streamline operations and reduce dependency on SCAdmins for such deletions, thus optimizing overall administrative workflows.
Step 1: Access the Individual Plan
- Begin by navigating to Tools > IPDP, to the specific individual plan where the multi-user activity you intend to delete is located. This will serve as your starting point for managing user activities.
Step 2: Locate the Multi-User Activity
- Within the plan, scroll to find the multi-user activity targeted for deletion. These are identifiable under the Type column, labeled clearly for ease of recognition and access.
Step 3: Open the Table
- Click directly on the desired multi-user activity to highlight it. This selection activates the specific item and prepares it for further actions.
Step 4: Select the Delete Option
- Look to the menu located above the table and click on the Delete option. Selecting this will bring up a confirmation dialog box, which serves as a precaution to prevent unintentional deletions.
Step 5: Confirm Deletion
- A confirmation dialog will appear to ensure that the deletion is intentional. Read the dialogue carefully and proceed by clicking Yes if you wish to continue with the deletion. If you have doubts or decide against deletion, select No to cancel the action.
C. Best Practices
- Verification Before Deletion: Always double-check the details of the multi-user activity you are about to delete. Ensure it is the correct entry to avoid disruption of other planned activities.
- Maintain Record Integrity: Before proceeding with deletion, consider the impact on related records and data consistency. Ensure all necessary consultations and backups are made if the data is critical.
- Clear Communication: If the multi-user activity involves other teams or departments, communicate your intentions before deletion to avoid any potential misunderstanding or data loss.
