Introduction

In any organization, the ability to track and manage requisition processes effectively is vital for operational efficiency and accurate record-keeping. SCView’s Requisition Manager screen provides a powerful tool that enhances visibility into actions taken on requisitions, specifically those approved, denied, or rejected by a user. This guide offers a detailed overview of how to utilize the filtering capabilities in SCView to view the status of requisitions based on the actions you have taken.

A. Problem Statement

Users often face challenges in monitoring their specific interactions with requisitions, such as approvals, denials, or rejections. Without the ability to quickly view their own impacts on these requisitions, it can be difficult to track progress, validate decisions, or review past activities. This limitation can lead to inefficiencies and a lack of accountability in the requisition process.

B. Solution

SCView addresses this challenge by enabling a filtration system within the Requisition Manager screen that allows users to view only the requisitions they have personally interacted with. By setting filters for actions taken, such as approved or denied, users can efficiently manage and review their specific activities, enhancing transparency and control over the requisition process.

The Requisition manager screen has the ability to filter all listed Requisitions allowing a user to view any Requisitions they had either Approved, Denied or Rejected in Workflow.

NOTE: This will only show items you affected. You will not be able to see any other user's items affected.

This can be done throughout the site. The below example is showing how to do so for requisitions.

1. Navigate to Requisition Manager via Tools > Requisitions.

2.  Make the needed changes to show results

  1. Select the time range you'd like to see results for

  2. If you can see the By User field, we recommend putting all users

  3. Click to check the checkbox

C. Best Practices

  • Regular Monitoring: Frequently review the requisitions you have interacted with to stay updated on their statuses and ensure all actions are accurately recorded.
  • Clear Filter Use: Always clear filters after use to avoid confusion or errors during future searches. This ensures that each new search is started with a fresh perspective.
  • Permission Checks: Ensure you have the appropriate permissions to view and manage requisitions. If there are discrepancies, contact your administrator to update your access rights.

D. Troubleshooting

  • Filter Functionality Issues: If the filters do not seem to reflect the correct information, verify that the correct time range and checkboxes are selected. Refresh the page to see if the issue persists.
  • Access Denied Errors: Should you encounter access issues, immediately verify your user permissions with an administrator. There may be a need to update your profile or permissions to access certain requisition data.
  • Slow Load Times: If the Requisition Manager screen is loading slowly or not displaying updates promptly, check your internet connection or try accessing the platform from a different browser or device to determine whether the issue is local.
