Introduction

Welcome to the comprehensive guide on utilizing SCView’s User Management features. This powerful tool is designed to streamline the process of adding, editing, and managing user accounts within your organization. From setting up new user profiles to importing batch user data, SCView’s User Management module offers a robust platform to ensure your team members are equipped with the appropriate access rights and tools necessary for their roles.

A. Problem statement

Managing user accounts in a dynamic organizational environment can be challenging, especially when dealing with varying authentication methods, access rights, and department-specific needs. Manually handling these aspects can lead to errors, security risks, and inefficiencies in user management.

B. Solution

SCView's User Management system addresses these challenges by providing a centralized interface where administrators can easily create and modify user accounts, assign specific rights, and manage authentication settings. The system supports both Classic and Single Sign-On (SSO) methods, allowing for flexible user authentication tailored to security requirements. Additionally, the system simplifies the process with features for importing user data and searching for specific user profiles, further enhancing operational efficiency.

   - Set the Report View for departmental supervisors to manage Leave requests effectively.

4. Save Settings:

C. Best Practices

  1. Regularly Update Permissions: Keep user permissions aligned with current roles and responsibilities to ensure appropriate access rights.
  2. Leverage Bulk Importing: Utilize the bulk importing feature for efficient setup during large-scale onboarding or updates.

D. Troubleshooting

  • Login Issues: Verify the User ID and authentication type are correctly set, especially after recent edits or imports.
  • Problems with Saving Changes: Ensure all required fields are properly filled and no system errors are preventing the save operation.
  • Import Errors: Check that the format and content of the imported files match the specifications required by SCView. Ensure the correct file type (CSV or XLSX) is used.
